The greatest way we can show love for Israel and the Jewish community is by sharing the message of Jesus with them. He is the greatest gift they gave us, and it is our responsibility to take Jesus back to them.

Unfortunately this command has been, and continues to be, sorely neglected by the church. Church history is littered with instances of Jewish people being persecuted in the name of Jesus, rather than being wooed to the One who wept over Jerusalem and loved His people so much. It is much easier to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Ps. 122:6), than it is to proclaim the “Prince of Peace” (Isa. 9:6) to Jerusalem. It is much easier to share material blessings with Jewish people, thinking that material blessings will suffice, than it is to share the gift of the gospel—the blessing of knowing Messiah Jesus personally.

Yet the apostle Paul’s heart was broken when he said, “I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it in the Holy Spirit—I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, those of my own race, the people of Israel” (Rom. 9:1-4). Paul’s heart was for his Jewish people first, and Jesus Himself wept over Jerusalem and sent his disciples out beginning in Jerusalem because of the enormous responsibility to take the gospel to the Jewish community.

The Jewish people and Israel need our prayers, our blessings, and most importantly, our Jesus. The Bible commands us to give them all three. However, without sharing Jesus with them, ultimately our prayers for their peace and our gifts of love will be meaningless. In the end, it is only the gift of Jesus that will bring lasting joy and peace into their lives.

Light of Messiah Ministries

Since 1992, Light of Messiah Ministries has been bringing the message of Jesus to the Jewish community of Atlanta and the southeast. We reach Jewish people with the gospel through several avenues. First we meet with Jewish people one on one. Most Jewish people with whom we meet are introduced to us through Christians. Already established relationships are our greatest source of contacts.

We also help Christians bring Jesus to their Jewish friends by teaching in the church, educating believers on our Jewish roots, and helping Christians reach out to their Jewish friends in culturally sensitive ways.

We have an extensive ministry to the Russian Jewish community in metro Atlanta. We travel throughout the world partnering with other likeminded ministries to reach Jewish people in Israel, Poland, and other nations abroad.

Jews for Jesus

“Jews for Jesus” began as a slogan. In the late 1960s a moving of the Holy Spirit brought thousands of cause-oriented young people to faith in Jesus, many of whom were Jewish. Moishe Rosen officially founded Jews for Jesus in September of 1973. Rosen, a veteran missionary to the Jewish people, was the executive director of the mission for 23 years.

Their mission statement:

We exist to make the messiahship of Jesus an unavoidable issue to our Jewish people worldwide.

Chosen People Ministries

Chosen People Ministries exists to pray for, evangelize, disciple, and serve Jewish people everywhere and to help fellow believers do the same. The mission was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 1894 by Rabbi Leopold Cohn, a Hungarian Jewish immigrant with a zeal to share the knowledge of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah with God’s chosen people.

Life in Messiah Ministries

Life in Messiah Ministries International began as the Chicago Hebrew Mission in 1887 by William E. Blackstone, a contemporary of Dwight L. Moody, R.A. Torrey, A.B. Simpson, and James Gray. They are evangelical, conservative believers who love Messiah Jesus and the Jewish people. They want to take every opportunity to share the “hope that is within us,” the free, full, forever life available through a relationship with Messiah Jesus. Life in Messiah Ministries International has staff in Israel, France, Mexico, Canada, the Netherlands, and across the United States.

Rock of Israel

Rock of Israel is dedicated to reaching Jewish people with the good news that their Messiah has come and will soon return!

Ariel Ministries

Ariel Ministries, created to evangelize and disciple our Jewish brethren, has been born from necessity to meet an urgent need. Ariel means “Lion of God,” representing the Messiah Yeshua as the Lion of Judah. It is also an alternate name for Jerusalem (Isaiah 29:1) — the city of peace now waiting for the Prince of Peace to return. It was in Jerusalem, in 1966, that a burning seed of desire was planted in the heart of Arnold Fruchtenbaum. On December 1, 1977, in San Antonio, Texas, Ariel Ministries was born and the seed began to bloom.

Jewish Voice

Jewish Voice Ministries International is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Yeshua (Jesus) to the Jew first and also to the Nations throughout the world. The Good News is proclaimed through television, print and online media, international festival outreaches & medical clinics/humanitarian aid.  This is followed by planting new, and strengthening existing, congregations to nurture and disciple new Believers.  They also partner with other ministries to establish and operate Messianic Jewish Bible Institutes(MJBI) to equip leadership for Jewish ministry.
